1. Who we are

hirebmb ("Service", "we", "us", "our") is operated as a sole proprietorship based at 42 Clonminch Place, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, R35 H5R3, Ireland.

By creating an account or using the Service, you ("User", "you") agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

hirebmb is a web application that lets you:

  • Log professional achievements, skills, and career events.
  • Attach documents and links to those records.
  • Generate summaries and evidence intended to support performance reviews, promotion cases, and similar purposes.

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.

3. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you:

  • Are at least 16 years old (EU) or 13 years old (US), and have reached the age of digital consent in your country.
  • Have full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • Are not barred from using the Service under applicable law or by a prior termination from us.

If you use the Service on behalf of an employer or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your credentials.
  • Notify us immediately at support@hirebmb.com of any unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, applicable law, or that pose a security risk.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and payments

5.1 Plans

Paid features are offered as recurring subscriptions. Plan details, prices, and billing cycles are shown at checkout.

5.2 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates. We do not store full card details on our systems. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.

5.3 Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price, until you cancel. You authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method for each renewal.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through the in-app customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the current paid period.

5.5 No refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused time, or features you did not use. This does not affect statutory rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you (see Section 14).

5.6 Taxes

Prices may exclude applicable VAT, sales tax, or other taxes, which will be added where required. You are responsible for any taxes assessed on you personally.

5.7 Price changes

We may change prices for future billing cycles. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before it applies.

6. EU/UK consumer right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services. By starting to use paid features before the 14 days end, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. Where withdrawal does apply and you exercise it, we refund the price paid less an amount proportional to the service already provided.

7. Your content

7.1 Ownership

You retain all rights in the data, text, files, and other material you submit to the Service ("Your Content").

7.2 License to us

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you, to back it up, to comply with law, and to enforce these Terms. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except for backups retained for a limited period or copies we must keep by law.

7.3 Your responsibility

You represent that Your Content does not violate any law, contract, or third-party right (including confidentiality obligations to current or former employers). Do not upload content you are not allowed to share.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent allowed by mandatory law.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission.
  • Interfere with the Service, send malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
  • Scrape, mass-download, or use automated means to access the Service outside any documented API and rate limits.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that contains personal data of others without a lawful basis.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach this section.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, trademarks, and all related materials (excluding Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (e.g. Stripe for payments, hosting providers, email providers, analytics). Their availability and behavior are outside our control. We are not responsible for third-party services or for outages caused by them.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy at https://hirebmb.com/privacy-policy/. By using the Service you agree to that policy.

12. Termination

  • By you: cancel your subscription and/or delete your account at any time from the app.
  • By us: we may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued operation creates legal or security risk. Where reasonably possible we will give notice.
  • Effect: on termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may delete Your Content after a reasonable grace period. Sections that by their nature should survive (payment obligations, IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law, dispute resolution) survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

The Service helps you organize career information; it does not guarantee any career outcome, promotion, raise, job offer, or favorable performance review. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of anything you generate with the Service before relying on it.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or rights granted to consumers under mandatory EU, Irish, UK, or US state law.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of hirebmb from any third-party claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service; or (c) your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

16. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any paid subscription before the change takes effect.

17. Governing law and disputes

17.1 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

17.2 Consumers in the EU, UK, and EEA

If you are a consumer, the choice of Irish law does not deprive you of the protection given to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. You may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and we may bring proceedings against you only in those courts.

EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ to seek out-of-court resolution. We are not obliged to participate in an alternative dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration body.

17.3 Everyone else (including business users and consumers outside the EU/UK/EEA)

Disputes will be brought exclusively in the courts of Ireland, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.

18. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization.
  • Notices. We may notify you by email to the address on your account or by in-app message. You must notify us at support@hirebmb.com or by post at 42 Clonminch Place, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, R35 H5R3, Ireland.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Language. The English version of these Terms is the binding one. Translations are provided for convenience.
